Conformiq started with an excavator.
Not a big dramatic failure — just an ordinary site day. One excavator left, another turned up to replace it. Same yellow paint, same size, same spot on the compound. To anyone walking past, it was the same machine.
It wasn't. And the paperwork back in the office still thought it was.
That's the moment this started to matter. Plant certification — LOLER, PUWER — doesn't move at the speed of a site. A swap that takes ten minutes on the compound can leave the office chasing outdated records for weeks, and nobody finds out there's a gap until someone actually asks for the paperwork — an inspection, an audit, or whoever is assuring the site wanting proof before a machine starts work.

It gives main and subcontractors one place to see what's on site, whether its certificates are current, and when they're about to expire — before it becomes a problem someone has to explain. No more assuming the excavator on the compound is the one the paperwork says it is.
