This policy explains the cookies and browser storage Conformiq uses. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy.
The short version
Conformiq sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Everything listed below is strictly necessary to sign you in and to make the app work offline on site. Because none of it is non-essential, we do not need your consent to set it under PECR — we tell you it's there, and that's the requirement.
If that ever changes, so does this page: we would put a consent banner in front of anything non-essential, it would load only after you agree, rejecting would be exactly as easy as accepting, and the service would still work if you rejected. No cookie walls.

Stripe cookies are set only when you open checkout or the billing portal. [TO CONFIRM — confirm payment processor and that no other processor is in use]
Local storage
These are stored in your browser, not sent to us with every request. They are what makes the app usable on a site with no signal.

Offline packs — the project data you download for use with no signal — are stored in your browser's IndexedDB and in the service worker cache. Both are cleared when you sign out or clear site data.
Managing it
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings, and block cookies entirely. Blocking the auth cookie will sign you out and stop the app working. Signing out of Conformiq clears the app's own storage.
Changes
If we add a cookie, it appears in the table above and the version and date at the top change.
